Roof Inspection
Roofing inspections are in many ways part of everything that we do. We can’t just come in and recommend any type of repairs or replacements when we haven’t even looked at the roof. One thing though that we want to make sure gets across to you is that roofing inspections are not something that you should only think about when you fear that you have a problem. In many ways, it’s better to inspect the roof regularly regardless of what you feel could be wrong or not. This is going to allow us to spot potential issues before they develop into a full-blown problem.
When Should You Call For A Roof Inspection? As roofing contractors in Des Moines we feel a bit of a responsibility to make sure that roofing inspections become something that people are very much aware of. We’re not saying this because we want to promote our services and make money. Actually, a lot of the major projects that we take are due to the lack of continuous inspections. Major roofing issues that could have been addressed beforehand were allowed to develop to a breaking point because of this. We never want to see that. Therefore inspections every six months can be a great idea. Perfect Time Of The Year To Inspect We would say that before and after the major winter storms. It’s a pretty logical thing you may want to make sure that you’re aware of where you are going into the most difficult time of the year for your roof. At the same time, you want to make sure where you are coming out of it. If you do that consistently we can pretty much guarantee that you won’t have any major issues to deal with in the middle of the rougher months of the year when major repairs are going to be hard to perform. What We’ll Actually Be Doing In Inspections Roof inspections are not as easy as taking a quick look at your roof and coming back down and saying everything is perfectly fine. What we’ll do is look through all of the joint points that we know are potentially troublesome. Of course, we need to make sure that the gutters and the downspout are cleared up. If we spot something we may want to look on the inside of your house to see if the problem is showing up on the inside already. In short, we really do perform an in-depth search of the premises. Schedule Your Inspection Ahead Of Time Most of the time people just forgo inspections because they forget. It’s not out of being cheap or any other type of intent. What you can do is call us and have us put you on our client list. We’ll call you when the time has come for your inspection. We know that people don’t want to be bothered so we’re not going to keep insisting that you get an inspection. It’s just something to give you a head’s up. |
